The Young Pretenders album was finished after the band broke up and the new projects began. The initial idea was to release in a confusing manner to either be mistaken as a Lutheran Heat album or as a Lutheran Heat / Young Pretenders split album.

Lutheran Heat is the band Matt and Garth went on to form after the demise of Young Pretenders. Lutheran Heat is still active and still plays Young Pretenders tunes from time to time.
